Products

Creating products, units of measure and pricing.

A product carries its identity (name, SKU, barcode, HSN code), its classification (category, brand), its units, and its prices.

Units and conversion

Each product has a base unit — the unit stock is counted in. You may also set a secondary unit with a conversion factor, so you can buy in boxes and sell in pieces while stock stays in one consistent unit underneath.

Pricing

  • MRP — printed on the invoice for reference.
  • Sale price — the default retail rate.
  • Wholesale price — used when a sale is marked as wholesale.
  • Purchase price — a reference rate; actual cost comes from your purchase entries.

Reorder level

Set a reorder level and the product is flagged as low stock on the dashboard once it falls below it. Products with no reorder level are never flagged.
